I'm looking for eye pieces for my Celestron C6-NGT telescope. I've tried looking for some but i haven't had much luck. If anyone can help me find some eye pieces and possibly give me some places to look for them it would be much help.

  1. Your telescope will take standard 1 1/4" astronomical eyepieces, of which there are hundreds available from any good astronomy store. Orion is a good place to start: http://www.telescope.com/control/categor...

  2. This 750mm focal length telescope uses standard 1.25in diameter eyepieces. New, this scope ships with a 20mm eyepiece.  You can order an eyepiece from a variety of online astronomy vendors ... some leading firms include: orion, astronomics, anacortes, oceanside photo & telescope, scope city, adorama, B&H photo.

Used gear - sold mostly by amateur astronomers - is available on the cloudynights.com and astromart.com websites.

The 20mm eyepiece will give you low-power (750mm/20 = 38x) wide-field views.  I'd also suggest another at 6-10mm for (750/6=125x to 750/10=75x) more magnification to look at the moon and planets (Jupiter is bright in the southeast at sunset).

I'd suggest only 2-3 "good" eyepieces (new ~$30ea and up) instead of more cheaper eyepieces.

I would pick the following focal lengths:

    2 eyepieces: 26-34mm, 8-12mm

    3 eyepieces: 32-40mm, 12-16mm, 5-8mm

One other approach is to take your scope to a local astronomy club's public skygazing night ... people will certainly be willing to help you and will probably let you try out some eyepieces (before you buy 1 or more).

Good luck, and enjoy!  (I'm happy to answer other questions if you want to contact me directly.)
