Sure the sunburst and the spiral looks good, but I've done so many of them it's not even funny. I've done 3 of the Vs without messing up, and I actually made an experimental design shirt which actually turned out pretty nice.

If you want to look go here - http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZilovekasey17

But my problem is this... I see all of these other designs like these for instance - http://cgi.ebay.com/Mens-Medium-Tie-Dye-Hand-Made-Sunshine-Daydream-New-M_W0QQitemZ140165893326QQihZ004QQcategoryZ15687QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

See the difference in mine and there's? I was just wondering where I could learn (Online for free like most sites that teach you to tie-dye) how to make more creative designs like that person. Any advice is wanted.

Thanks.

  1. You can dye almost any shape you can picture in your mind. Fold your shirt in half, draw lines with a pencil, then accordian-fold along the lines. Try crumpling the fabric in a Chaos fold. Try tying with artificial sinew, instead of rubber bands, for more control. Use good Procion MX dye, never all-purpose dye such as Rit, and try a variety of different colors, and definitely try black along with your other colors. See the links below for instructions and more ideas.
