Can someone help me find the name of a song?

I heard a song on the radio, it sounded quite old (60s/70s) and it was sung by a man, it was a ballad and there was a choir at some point... it said "come to me" many times and my mother said it was by the beatles but I don't think it it's them, it's not "come together", anyone has an idea what it might be?
