Question:

Can someone help me fix my Toshiba Satellite 5105 laptop?

I think theres a display problem, i open it up and theres lines up and down the display.

I dont know whats wrong with it, can someone please help me?

  1. You can try running a dead pixel program.  While it doesn't actually help dead pixels (i will only fix them about 5% of the time) it can help flush stuck pixels and help alot of screen problems if its related to stuck pixels.

    Another thing you can try is to change your resolution over and over again to see if you can flush the stuck pixels yourself, or even update your video drivers to see if they got corrupted somehow.

    The problem i'm wondering is if something didnt hit your notebook and actually damage your screen.  It sounds like its actual damage to me.  And if thats the case you can only really change out the panel as they are next to impossible to "fix" once damage has been done.


  2. I've got 2 Toshiba's, but not your breed.

    Try a reinstall of the graphics drivers (get the latest from Toshiba, or the Windows update' page; make sure to click the 'custom' button, not the 'express').
