Apply everywhere within walking distance of your home so you won't have to spend money on gas.

Hopefully you will find a food service job so you won't have to spend money on food !

Apply at every fast food place, grocery store and employment agency in your area.  If you live in a small town, consider relocating to a larger city.  Delivering newspapers will bring in a little bit too.

It won't be long before employers start hiring again as the students head back to school.  It won't be the best work but it will put the "bread and butter' on the table until something better comes along.
