Question:

Can someone help me identify this circuit board?

I bought it at a garage sale, and before i desolder it i want to know what it is. It has some voltage steppers and regulators, intructions on the board regarding switch positions and their effects on "LOOP 1" and "LOOP 2". It has some oscillators, 4 potentiometers, 4 switches, 4 holes for wires and 2 removable components, each of which I assume corresponds to a loop. There are stickers and dome components that say ICT. Have a look for yourself, I have some photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/97739882@N00/sets/72157607046186339/

Thanks, Will.

  1. Here is an email address you can write a message to and ask them the same question. ICT (Innovative Circuit Technology)

    ict@ictcorporate.com

  2. It might be an alarm system board.

I see on the board what looks like a piezoelectric buzzer that could sound if the alarm was tripped.

The two loops would each go to trip switches wired in a series loop - if any switch in the loop opens (as simple as a strip of foil breaking), the alarm goes off.  An unused loop would be simply jumpered (shorted).

The 4 blue things don't look to be potentiometers, but 10-position ("decade") switches (positions are numbered 0-9).  They would probably be for setting a 4-digit code that arms and disarms the alarm.

Next to the 12VAC jack seems to be an infrared receiver; this may be for receiving the code from a (missing!) remote control for arming and disarming the unit.

It was hard to read the markings on the board (I had to download and do a mirror-image flip) but try to find a model number printed or etched somewhere on it - and Google that number for more information!
