Can someone help me identify what these bottles are from?

My family is excavating part of your property and came across two amber glass bottles. The bigger one contains the wording: "Austins A-1 Solution Nonrefundable" and the smaller one simply says "WHITEHALL" on two sides.

I've tried searching but can't find anything...anyone have any clue what these could be from?

We live in Central Pennsylvania if that's of any help.

  1. Whitehall was a glass manufacturing company......

Austins A-1 Solution was a disinfectant often used to treat tuberculosis patients.

It's likely the Whitehall bottle was used in a drug store.

  2. They are probably old beer bottles or old soda bottles..when my parents built a house we found lots and lots of old beer bottles...

I looked it up WHITEHALL is a type of beer that is/was made in Whitehall PA

Go to google and type in "Whitehall Beer" That is what I typed in..

And Austin's A1 Solutions looks to be a manufacturer out of Austin TX..all I could find was bleach?

  3. Austin's A-1 is actually a brand of bleach solution.

I couldn't find much on Whitehall. There is a Whitehall, PA and there was also a beer made out of Whitehall, PA.

    Good Luck in your search.

  4. As far as Austin's A-1 solution bleach is concerned:

The other one appears to be some type of bottle

In fact I think it could be Whitall and was mispelled

This is what I could find, hope it helps.
