Can someone help me make a no-cd patch for a game?

Hi,

I'm no programmer, but neither is one of my friends, who has done this before. He said something about you needing to create an image of the disk, and making putting it on a virtual drive of some sort. I'm guessing he just backed up the game cd to some random location and made that location a virtual drive, so the game thought the cd was in a dvd drive.

Anyone know anything about doing this? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

  1. Try these sites:

    www.gamecopyworld.com

    www.gameburnworld.com

  2. get a program like alcohol, magiciso, poweriso, clonecd, nero, etc. put your disk in and find the option for making a disc image (copying the disc to an .iso file on your computer) then create a virtual drive, and mount the .iso file on the virtual drive. it'll show up in your "my computer" section like there's a disc drive there, even though its reading from your hard drive.
