Question:

Can someone help me organize my locker?

What I usually do in the way of organizations is, at best, functional. I hang a locker shelf upside down from the coat hooks in my locker so that I don't have to bend down to reach my textbooks, and then I stack 2 other lockers shelves on top of each other to bring my binders up higher. The problem is, my locker is so cramped that there isn't room for much of anything else, which was okay in 7th grade when I only needed one binder. Now that I am going into my junior year, I don't know if there will be enough space in my locker to fit everything.

With the classes I am taking this year I will need to have enough space for 5 large textbooks, six 1-1/2 inch binders, at least 3 notebooks, my school bag, and my PE bag.

My locker is about 5 1/2 ft. tall, and a little over 1 foot wide.

Does anyone know of a better way to organize all of this stuff, or should I just keep doind what I've been doing?

  1. Just use 2-3 locker shelves. Sure, you'll have to bend down, but you can store your PE bag and backpack on the hooks, have a shelf for binders, a shelf for  textbooks, and a shelf for notebooks and other small items.

At least you have a full locker. We get half lockers. I've gotta stuff a backpack, 6 binders, 6 notebooks, 4 workbooks, and 6 textbooks into it.

  2. I have enough trouble organizing my own locker.  Sounds like you've got a good system going.  Stick with it.

  3. You need a few shelves, get some stacking shelves so you can adjust storage needs accordingly. Here are some, and I believe WalMart sells some folding stack able shelves also.
