    Pronunciation tips:

tsu is one syllable, pronounced like you would say "iT'S YOU"

gyo is also one syllable- imagine the combination of "ghee +yo". Gyo

"i" is always pronounced "ee" in Japanese

    "e" is  always pronoucned "eh"

    "o" is always pronounced "oh"

    "a" is always pronounced "ah"

"su" is *sometimes pronounced "_s".  example "suki des" (to like something) is said as "ski-des"

Japanese Hiragana (like an alphabet) is written by syllable, not by letter.  Therefore, you can easily break up difficult-looking words into syllables, and pronounce each one individually.

Also (in Tokyo dialect), there is not supposed to be accents on any syllables, so try to say the words in a flat tone.  This is the ideal formal speech.
