  1. x4x232 represents the frets you play on the guitar. The far left number represents the thickest string (the 6th string) and the far right number represents the thinest string (1st string).

x means don't play that string or mute it.

Numbers represent what fret to play on that string.

So, this should look like a D chord but with the 5th string fretted on forth fret (C#) and the 4th string muted.

  2. if you actualy learned how to play guitar you wouldnt have silly tab questions.

  3. those are the frets on the guitar, the little quare boxes down the neck. each number is a fret down the neck. so, the for is the fourth fret down the neck on a certain string.

  4. Those numbers mean which fret your finger should be on the guitar.

When playing D you really don't need to put your finger on the 4th fret of the A string but it might make the song your trying to play sound a little better.

    E x no finger here

    A 4th fret

    D x no finger here

    G 2nd fret

    B 3rd fret

    E 2nd fret

There are 6 strings on your guitar low E on the left and high E on the right.  The numbers are the frets you finger.  The x means don't play that string.

  6. IM not a real good Guitarist myself but i do go t a site that May or May not help http://www.scenicnewengland.net/guitar/c...

  7. the first x a mute on the low E, or the top string.

4 is your finger on the forth fret of the second string. (the forth bar from the tip of the guitar)

x is a mute on your 3rd string.

    and so on.

    Best I can explain...

  8. from left to right, you would read this. the first note in this tab is the low e string. the 4 is the 4th fret on the 5th (A) string. the other x is open on the 4th string. the 2 is the 2nd fret on the 3rd string. and so on.
