Can someone help me pick out a laptop?

Question

ok, so my parents are getting me a new laptop for christmas and they wanted me to go ahead and give them some options but, I'm not sure what I want except I want it to have built in wi-fi because where I live I can't hook it up into a port unless I go to town and hook up in a free wi-fi spot. I also do alot of stuff with music and pictures, so alot of free space would be nice too. I don't even know what brand I want. Please Help ME!!!!

I got Dell 1525 with WiFi, webcam, 3gigs of RAM, a Intel C2D processor etc. for less than $500. I would say that this is a best buy...

HP is the best brand out there. It is slim, stylish (comes with a skin design), and faster than its counterparts and the price is right.

DONT get Toshiba, Gateway, Acer, Compaq - they're terrible. they're either heavy, fat, slow or ugly looking.

Definately a Dell.  But get it from Dell, not Best Buy as their "technicians" and not Dell handles the warranty.

Yeah you can get one of those Wi-Fi things where you put it into a USB port and use it for Wi-Fi.  Its only around 15$ for a basic one.  I would suggest Dell or HP.  Lenovo is OK but its sort of expensive.  Apple is just overpriced with not so good performance so I would not get that.

get a dell, best for basic, and budgets, get one at bestbuy, on sale at times for 600 from 700, godd battery life, or a blue gateway at bestbuy that goes on sale all the time, with good battery life, get one that lasts at least 3 hrs so u can use wifi, both the dells and the blue gateway 14.1 in display have 4hrs+ 3 hr with movie
