Ok, and you know how U = union ?

The problem is:

well r= {10,15,20} and s = {20,25 }

so it's {10,15,20} U {20, 25}

and idk how to solve that :[

  1. Hi,

    r U s  = {10, 15, 20, 25} <==ANSWER

    The union is made of of anything from either set, but they do not need written more than once.

    I hope that helps!! :-)

  2. A union of two sets is a set containing all the elements in both sets.

    The answer is {10, 15, 20, 25} since those are all the elements in both sets.  Each element in the union occurs in one or both of the sets being combined.

    (The difference for intersection is that each element in the result must occur in every set in the intersection.)

    The thing here is that the element 20 occurs in both r and s, and is shown only once in the union.
