  1. I found this an interesting question, because I had to make the same choice at university. I chose Banking & Finance over Accounting & Finance.

To put in perspective, take out the Finance part as it features in both of the majors. So now you are looking at Accounting v Banking. It all depends on what you enjoy doing. Are you a numbers/maths person? Or as one of my friends says "Are you a paranoid number cruncher?" If the answer is yes, then you should go with Accounting.

On the other hand, Banking is more towards the fund management/investment side. Its more "thinking outside of the square" and although you deal with numbers its not as number crunching. A Banking/Finance major I think is more broad, and I would recommend it over the accounting. But if accounting is your thing, then you should go for that. U just have to be weary that if you want to do a Chartered Accounting Qualification then you probably best to chose accounting over banking as banking is not going to have the subjects for you to be able to do the CPA/CA exams. However it will put you in good stead of the CFA exams (Chartered Finance Analyst Exams)
