Can someone help me understand this ad for Chevron Town Pantry?

It has the Chevron logo on the side, and says Port Coquitlam Town Pantry as the title...

"F/T or P/T Self Service Cashier OR Full Serve Attendant

Chevron is dedicated to a safe work environment. Ask for details. "

...and then who to drop off the resume to etc.

I would like to know about this because my teacher wants us to write a cover letter applying to this job, but I don't understand what self service cashiers and full serve attendants are, or what they do. Also, Chevron is a gas station, right?

Pick a different ad.  Maybe try an ad that you DO understand.  I am a teacher, and understanding the ad seems to be a key to sucess in this assignment.
