Can someone help me with a science propject question on sailing?

I need infomation or websites(good) to help me explain how they work. Also can someone give me ideas about making a working model to show how they work. Thanks

  1. forget the website. go down to the bay, take a trip and make it worth your while to interview those who know it best, the sailors themselves. If you're no where near the coast, visit one of your local fish stores, preferably a small fish store, privately owned. These people are usually in direct contact with the sailors who deliver the fish to their fish store or have been a sailor them self at one time and that's why they're in the business. You will out-will any other of the science projects in the place by taking this little bit of extra effort to make it individual, you'll kick every ones butt and ace it.


  2. Don't know any websites but I know how they work.

    The sail hits the wind making the boat move and the tiller steers the the boat by pulling in the mainsheet that pulls in the boom and the sail to make the boat go faster because the sail is tighter and more of it is hitting the wind.
