  1. FOR NUMBER 1

the intricate silver mask shimmered with jewels in the [time and light], its beautifully crafted surface reflecting every tiny ray of light that came streaming in through the [window?]

  2. Glittering, elegant? How would you describe them?

  3. mask # 1

so small and petite, yet strong and stable.  it's silver shines as if it was worn by a beautiful russian ballerina, many years ago, whom many admired and envied.  under the sparkling flowery and sun shapes adorning her porcelain face, she had many secrets to hide. and as you stared into her large and sad eyes through the holes in her mask, you felt as if you learned about every one of them.  etc, etc.

    mask #2

an enchanting, sparkling, luminescent blue and silver butterfly, contently perched on her face... the blue and silver hues were like deep sparkly pools of sapphire filled water, and the ends of its wings cascaded down and swirled up like powerful waterfalls. rows of dazzling blue gems accented and crowned her eyes. etc, etc.

    mask #3

all the colors of the desert-- the warm sand, the soft fur of the camel and the bright blue of the sky, against the hot sweltering sun that is the shining gold bordering the edges.  a round blue gem on the forehead peers at me like it has seen things none of us have and under the cat-like shape of her mask, her eyes look mysterious and darting.  etc, etc.

    * I know that your story isn't about that.  I just wanted to have a little MORE fun describing them

    edit- here you go!

    mask #4

Two sinister yet beautiful swirls twisted above her eyebrows and cascaded down into smaller swirls at the apple of her cheeks, making the shape of an elegantly aloof butterfly.  Its wings were glimmering gold, yet not completely so, and thus in all the abstract shaped holes covering it like a stained-glass window, the girl's golden skin glowed out of each hole; like the sun.
