My boyfriend normally buys condoms and they just come in a blue packet. This month though I had to go to the family planning clinic 'Talkwize' to get my contraceptive injection because the doctor wasn't available and the nurse said it was best to get it done that day.

Anyway, they gave me a pack of condoms (if you don't know even with contraceptive injection or pill you should use condoms, even in a relationship where they are your first partner, like mine, until you're 21 because you can get cervical cancer if you don't).

Back to the point, they gave me a selection of condoms and having only used one type before I'm lost without opening them. Does anyone know what types of condoms the different colours are? I know they are different ones, like one for more pleasure etc but not exactly which does what. The colours I have are light blue, black, pink, green and orange.

Thank You

  1. Heya,

As far as i understand it

Blue - Extra Safe Condoms ( These are more thicker and provide as the name suggests extra safe protection)

Black - Normal condom ( This is just a different condom of a different protection they protect as good but not as much as the blue one should)

Pink - Normal condom ( Same as the Black)

Green -Gossamer ( Gives more feeling)

Orange - Featherlite - Can also be a flavoured condom ( This is just really light and it is thin as well so its supposed to feel like skin to skin contact, also the orange one you can use during oral if you dont like the flavour of latex and you want a bit of flavour).

But i would say use an condom ( any condom will do) as above a condom is a condom at the end of the day and which ever one you use you will be protected.

    Hope i helped

    xx

  2. The collours are just a matter of taste ( if you will excuse the pun ) it is the thickness of the rubber itself that increases or decreases the sensitivity and also the risk factor.
