Can someone help me with my Ipod??

ok..so my brother wont let me use limewire for reasons known only to him, i want to update my ipod, its high time i did, i guess the latest song in it is probably 1 and a half years old! so my question is, other than limewire and other such software, is there any free site from where i can download english songs to put in my ipod?? i want help and thanks to anyone who is willing to give it!
