Can someone help me with my camcorder?

I've just got a DXG-565V (5MP) camcorder and I was trying to figure out how many minutes of video I can record with a 2 GB memory card. I've researched it and some people say it can hold up to 1-2 hours, some say it can hold up 5 hours, and I read somewhere that it can hold up to 1 hour. I am very confused. If someone could help that would be great.

Also: Does it matter if the quality is D1, VGA, or QVGA-- I know that D1 is the best quality (and it also uses up more memory), but I was just wondering if it really mattered which one I chose. Thanks.

  1. The lower the quality, the more you can record on a 2 GB card.

I prefer "old fashioned" MiniDV tape.

Simple: 2 choices ... SP, 62 min; or LP, 93 min.

I suggest you record in highest quality.
