Can someone help me with putting a pic into an email?

I scanned a photo into my computer but I need to put the pic in the body of an email in my yahoo account. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to do that? (I have tried cutting and pasting but that ain't workin)

1.click on attach

2.go to your pictures

3.find your picture

4.click on it

   and your done!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
