  1. 1] 2x+5 and remaider = -3

    2] 2x^2-4x+3

    3]x+4

but i dont know the  synthetic way

  2. BIMDAS (Brackets, Indeces, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract).

Remember that (and work on the numbers in that order) and you'll get the answers for yourself.

If you still can't do it, ask someone to go through the principle of it with you face to face - your maths teacher (if you go to school) or your mum or dad (if you don't)...or try one of the maths websites where you can get a (free) online tutorial with a maths professor.

  3. Help yourself........P.E.M.D.A.S.

    Have fun!

  4. My son used to really hate these. I will give you one of them and hope it will help you figure out how to do them for the rest of the problems.

Here are the steps to 1 as best as they can be written in text format:

    1. Answer: 2x+4

X+3 goes into (2x^2 +10x) 2x times. This will cancel out the 2X^2 leaving you with 4x+12. Then X+3 goes into the 4x+12 evenly by 4.
