My dad owns a 2007 Dodge Truck with Hemi motor. He is experiencing problems with the a/c airflow. Sometimes it works fine, others it starts out blowing normal and ends up not hardly blowing out the vents anywhere in the cab, but you can hear the blower blowing because it gets louder as the airflow becomes more restricted...Any ideas?

  1. its under warranty ,why not take it in and let them repair it free, instead of trying to repair it your self, they will take care of this at no charge for you, that's what your paying for with the warranty, use it while you can, good luck.

  2. Some of these trucks have cabin air filters and yours could be getting plugged up. Also it could be a bad vacuum hose that is not always allowing the vent to open.

  3. check make sure the clutch on the compressor os clicking in and out. the fan will run louder when on max ac. the clutch should stay engaged for 20 to 50 seconds then disengage for abot the same. different cars have different lengths of time the go on and off. if it is clicking on and off fast it needs to be charged a bit.

  4. My husband is actually at the dodge dealer now getting his truck fixed for the same exact problem. They are replacing his a/c compressor. Now on another note, the late 06's and early 07's (based on build date) had issues with the recirc door breaking apart and blocking the air flow, but if it is working after not working then it most likely isn't that problem.

  5. u might have to take it apart to see if something is restricting it. if not,it could be a vacuum leak cause the vent door to shut while traveling. and next time you might want to buy a ford!

  6. is it still under warranty its only a year old take it back and let dodge deal with the problem.

  7. i see curtis is a wimp...LOL but anyway take it to the garage and let them sort it out... Im sure its nothing major.... the mice neede a good safe place to store the goodies... because if they stored it in a ford the whole truck would have exploded!! because nothing is better than a DODGE except another DODGE...

  8. Rodents like chipmunks and squirrels get into the engines and intake, and plug things.  I have seen full size pine cones in there really.  This is a serious answer.
