So my teacher sent us a poem of homework with a lot of questions but I couldn't answer this one:

Read these 2 lines from the poem:

Who see besotted bumblebees

Wading sunlight to their knees

From these lines you may infer that the setting of the poem is

A. a rainy day

B. a sunny day

C. a spring day

D. a summer day

Please help, this is my homework to handle in on Friday, I don't even know what besotted means bcause my translater didn't translate that word :(

  2. Go to Dictionary.com and look up besotted...you need to do the work to get the credit. I think after you do this you will see the answer...think about it! Homework is Homework for a reason!

    This is because bumblebees are only besotted when it is sunny. The wading sunlight also indicates a sunny day.

  4. Besotted doesn't really affect the answer. You can infer that it's B. a sunny day, because of the fact that bees are "wading [in] sunlight".

    Besotted: like, fear, drunken, disorderly, so probably a scared or confused bee. and I have no clue what wading sunlight to their knees means, but I am guessing probably a spring day. I would just go with that. =]

  9. Besotted is probably an adjective but i don't know for sure. "Wading sunlight to their knees" Like wading means "wading in the pool". I think it's summer day, because there are like bees in the summer and lots of sun in summer? i guess

  10. I think it's a sunny day- besotted means something like "drunk" and if they are wading sunlight, that means they are probably in the sun...
