Ok, I got a money order but I have to fill out the stuff myself. I'm daft when it comes to this stuff though and I really can't s***w up.

There is three places to write. They are...

PAY TO THE ORDER OF:

PURCHASER, SIGNER FOR DRAWER

ADDRESS:

The first one is obvious. I write out who it goes to, which is the U.S. Department of State in this case. But what about the other two? Do I sign the Purchaser part and put the address to the Department of State for the Address part?

Apologies, I realize this is a stupid question but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks :)

  1. purchaser would be you, so you sign it and put in your address.

  2. you sign it as Purchaser and put in your addresss

  3. Not stupid, you're just making sure.

You're the Purchaser, and they want to know your address.

    :-)

  4. Pay to the order of goes to who your paying. Purchaser is where you sign your name and address is where you put your address.

  5. You sign as 'purchaser' - but put your address.

    Not theirs.

If you really aren't sure - go back to wherever you bought the money order from and ask them.

But I've written dozens of them like that - and never had a problem.
