Can someone help me with volleyball?

i want to get on a volleyball team but i dont know how to play. i would really like some tips and some thing to explain the game like how to play it. i dont know if the coach will tell me what to do or not. tryouts are on monday and i really want to get on the team.i need to be a deent player to get on it and this is my first time playing. my bro taught me a few hits and stuff .

the best thing you can learn in a short amount of time to try and make the team is serving and passing.  those are the mandatory things a volleyball player needs to master above all else when playing.  im sure the coach would teach you the hitting and setting thing latter.

in my opinion learn passing and serving first... everything else will come with coach, practice and patience.
