Can someone help me write a wedding speech??? Please help!

Question

I am the Maid of Honor in a wedding this weekend. I am giving a short speech/toast at the rehearsal dinner. I want to keep it simple, just saying something how the bride is a great person, and has been a great friend to me throughout the years. And how the groom is an awesome guy. And how I'm happy that theyre happy together.

So thats basically my outline, I just dont know how to word it right and make it into a speech. PLEASE HELP ME!!

i'm a wedding planner.  it's always best to focus in on how happy you see your best friend is and because she means so much to you, her happiness is your happiness. You can tell a short story of one of the funnest times you two had together and state that no matter how happy she was at that time, it doesn't compare to how happy you see she is now.  further state her happiness is because of her fiance and you couldn't be more excited for her.  Good luck!!

"It would be too easy to count the years of happiness I have spent with (Bride). It would over simplify what feels like a lifetime of happy memories.

(Bride) has been a great friend to me, and it's beautiful to know that (Bride) has found (Groom), who is an awesome guy. I am so happy to be here to mark the start of their new life together. I hope that we can all share the joy on this special occasion.

Hahahah I was in your exact position a month ago with my sister's wedding. I searched high and low for some inspiration and when the wedding day came i decided i would just tell a story. I talked about a conversation i had with the groom b4 he proposed to my sis, and everyone loved it. Just be honest. speak from the heart. Think about what comes to mind when you see them together. talk about your true feelings and emotions. that is what makes the best speech.

I have known the bride for many years, and she has been through it all with me. I don't know what I would have done without such a wonderful friend. I am so thankful that she has found such an amazing man to spend the rest of her life with, because she deserves to be happy. When I see the smile that he puts on her face, I know they were meant to be together. I know how truly blessed the groom is to have her, and how overjoyed she is to have him. We are here to celebrate the joining of of two of my favorite people in this world, and I couldn't be happier for them.
