  1. perimeter is the distance around it 3+3+8+8=perimeter

    area is length X width 3X8= area

    =

  2. Perimeter: 22 inches

    Area: 24 inches squared???

  3. For the area, just multiply 3x8

    For the perimeter,  just add 8+3+8+3

  4. To find the area, times one of the short sides by the long side:

    ie 8x3= 24 inches squared

    (I don't know if 'inches squared is a unit'...I've only ever worked in centimeters/meters which would be cm3)

    To find the perimeter, add the length of all four sides together:

    ie 3+3+8+8= 22 inches

  5. Ok you have to have the fomula, which is A=LXH=

    A= 3.14

    L= 8

    H  or W= 3

    So you mutliply 8 x 3=24

    now divide 3.14 by 24 and that is your answer

  6. Here's how to solve it:

    Draw a picture of a rectangle and label the width and length. In this case, the two short sides are each 3 inches wide, and the two long sides are each 8 inches long.

    1. The perimeter is the total of all the sides.

    3 + 3 + 8 + 8 = perimeter

    2.  The area is the length multiplied by the width.

    3 x 8 = area

  7. P = 2L+2W

    P = 2(8 in)+2(3 in)

    P = 16 in + 6 in

    P = 22 in

    A = LW

    A = (8 in)(3 in)

    A = 24 in^2

  8. Here are the formulas

    Area- Length X Width or LW

    Perimeter - 2length + 2Width

    Just plug the numbers into those formulas and their is your answer
