  1. What and how it happened? Did you just install it? Was it working before? did it fail all of a sudden? Did you remove the car battery? Does the remote have new battery?  Please give me more history and info to get the most appropriate help. What car is it ?

    Here's my take:

When you connect the battery it will surely trigger the alarm and when you try to dis arm it using your remote it wont do anything. Try to lock and unlock your car using your key in your driver side door and see if the alarm shuts off once you connect your battery.

When and if it stops try to use your alarm by lock and unlock it by pressing the remote buttons accordingly. If nothing happens still try removing the battery of your remote for few minutes say 1 minute and then put it back and try lock and unlock again.

Or if when you connect the battery and try to lock and unlock the door using your key manually and the alarm wont stop, put the key into your ignition switch and turn it to ignition On (don't start the car) and you should find and press a valet switch hidden underneath your dash or somewhere and step on the brake and press that valet switch or sometimes called over ride switch and that should deactivate the alarm.

So here's the summary: Disconnect the battery of your car, wait for 10 seconds, then reconnect it - the alarm will sound, you make sure you close all doors and then lock and unlock the drivers side door manually using your key- it should stop the alarm, if it wont, then insert the key into your ignition and turn it to Ignition On (do not start the car) and then look for the valet / override switch ( usually a pin type push button switch) hidden somewhere under the dash. Press it until the alarm stops. To activate your alarm do the same thing again by pressing the over ride switch again and that will activate your alarm. Now try your remote.

In addition, this situation happens all of a sudden when you have a bad car battery. Meaning, your battery has fallen down to less than 12 volts of power causing the alarm to set off. Check your car battery. It may crank your Jeep but the voltage is too low that the alarm senses that there is an electrical tampering or overload going on that sets itself off.

Tell me what happen next. Hope this solves your problem

  2. un hook the power cable off the battery to the car and leave it off for 5 min that will reset the alarm and well thats off look under the dash on driver side u will see a black box there is a little wire harness going into the box unhook that harness and thats the power to the alarm itself taht will work and if not unhook the ground to the unit
