  2. Here are a few simple stretches.  Lie on the floor on your back with the legs fully extended.  Bring one knee up to the chest and bear-hug it into your chest.  Hold that position for ten seconds and release but don't let the leg go.  Repeat that cycle four more times and slowly bring the leg back to the floor.  Bring the opposite leg up and repeat that cycle five times but instead of bringing the leg back to the floor bring the opposite leg up to meet it.  Now bring both legs into the chest and hold for ten seconds.  Relax the legs but hold them there for a few seconds and repeat the cycle four more times.  Slowly bring one leg down and put the foot flat on the floor with the knee bent to 90 degrees.  Bring the opposite leg down to meet it.  Cross the right leg over the left and slowly bring the knees over to the left side attempting to place the right knee on the floor while keeping the shoulders flat on the floor.  Return the legs to the starting position and repeat four more times.  Bring the legs back up and cross the left leg over the right and bring the knees over to the right attempting to touch the floor while maintaining the shoulders on the floor.  Again do this a total of five times.  Return the feet flat to the floor with the knees bent at 90 degrees.  Cross your arms across the chest and slowly raise the head, neck, and shoulders off the floor.  Return to the floor and repeat as many times as you can working up to fifty.  Again starting with the feet flat on the floor and the knees at 90 degrees raise your hips off the floor as high as they will go.  Return to the floor and repeat four more times.  That should help you to loosen up the back.  Do this right before going to sleep and upon awakening.
