Can someone help with my paypal account?

how exactly does paypal work? it says in my paypal acount balance i have 65 bucks, what does that mean? do i have to have money in my paypal account balance in order to buy things from ebay? or does the money automatically come from my checking acount when i buy something from ebay? and how can i transfer my paypal balance back to my checking account?

when you buy something from ebay and you dont have any funds in paypal it does what is called an "e-check" which takes about 3-5 days to clear before the seller gets paid. you can add funds from your bank account so that payment is faster but most sellers will wait(to add funds click on the tab that says "add funds" on the paypal page after you log in, it will ask how much this also takes 3-5 days to clear). so yes it automatically comes out of your bank account when you buy something, it just takes awhile.

to add funds to your bank account from paypal: once you log in there are tabs at the top put your mouse over the one that says "withdrawl" drop down menu shows "transfer to bank account" click it then it will ask how much you want to transfer. this also takes about 3-5 days to show up in your bank account so make sure its in there before you use it. hope this helps, good luck!

ADD: oh and the $65 is what you have in your paypal account, this is a positive amount ready to be transfered to your bank account if you like. ; )
