  1. Don't take my word for it, but it could be that he is speaking of when the Americans moved the Indians onto reservations. By saying he moved like the wind could mean that they were a migrating tribe or some other way of life they had. As for the surrender, well, he could be saying that there is nothing he can do anymore to fight, he's given up, and he knows thats the end of it. I'm not sure, but that would be my best guess. :)


  2. He was talking about freedom. Once he moved like the wind meaning he could go where he pleased and move when he wanted. Now I surrender to you and that is all, is a closeing, that there will be no more doing what he wants and no freedom.

  3. once i was free to roam the land, now you want to put me on a reservation where i cant hunt or go beond the sun set

  4. It sounds like it represents giving up- how this person was strong and fierce at one time, but as life moved on, he got weaker and weaker until he gave up.
