Can someone just check this site please?

Question

Learning web design, only done X/HTML CSS and some Javascript.

this is my first full (still in the making though) site.

Not my content but just the layout and basic site design needs some constructive critisicsm.

There are some empty spaces but that is because Google ads should be there but they don't always load.

This is going to be really harsh, I do this for a living.  Just so you know.

1.) The glitter graphics at the top, though they are cool and all don't fit this site at all.

2.) The whole page is just too dark, black backgrounds with black photos.  You have to lighten it up, some.

3.) I am unclear what your site is here for?  ULTIMATE GAMING?  What the heck is that?  Is it a site for your friends or am I supposed to be doing something?

4.) You have a lot of ads on one page, search engines will rip you apart for that.  They will see your page as SPAM.

5.) Adventure?  It's just a link to another page full of ads that has pictures that go to games on "freeonlinegames.com" why wouldn't I just go there?

6.) The first picture on the home page .... what's that there for?  Oh wait, it's another ad.  Well the link is wrong anyway.

You need to step back from your site and plan a little bit.  Figure out what you want your site to do, and more importantly figure out what you want your site to do for the end user.  I can tell that it's your first one and you have made some good strides by putting in custom code from Google and such.  However, you need to use ads like a flame thrower.  Though they are great and work well, too much of them burns it to the ground.

It will help you a lot plan your sites and get a good introduction into the web world.

You may have done a lot of coding for this website, but clearly it looks basic, and the sparkling title is cheesy. It makes me think that your title was made from one of those horrible sites that say "Make your name in glitter", and black is not a good background to start with, especially with purple, and plain white. Stick to lighter colours, because if you have google ads, that'll look better.

Its a bit basic. Try and add another few pages and use a more complex website maker.

A question for you: How do you get the 'ads by google' part?

I don't like it too much.. it doesn't flow.. its botchy
