Can someone list the steps i would have to take to incorporate my business?

You can either Do-It-Yourself or use a lawyer.

If you want to DIY:

1.  Go to the bookstore and buy a book on how to inc yourself in your state.

2.  Obtain the necessary forms from the office of the Secretary of State for your state.

3.  Fill out all applicable forms.

4. Write up a corporate charter and any other documents which are required in addition to the forms

5. Elect corporate officers. Hold first board meeting. Comply with whatever other conditions are required to set up a corp.

6. Send it all in,  along with the money.  Be sure to send the money because that is what the state is really interested in.

The easy was is contact a lawyer and have him/her do  the work.  (Shouldn't cost more than $1,000).
