Can someone make sense of this contradiction?

im gonna make up 2 sentences that use the the contradicting lines, so it will make better sense:

1. amy is going to six flags. liz wants to go but is unable to. amy says well life is not fair.

2. liz is going to the carvinal. amy wants to go but cant. so liz is told she cant go because it wouldnt be fair to amy,

so the lines "life is not fair" and "its not fair to others" contradict.

so why do people use them both? i had a teacher that did it to me all the time. life wasnt fair when i wanted something, but when someone wanted what i had....life all of a sudden had to be fair.

  2. It means that life is unfair.  "It's not fair to others" means that if life is fair to you right now, someone else's life is unfair at the moment too.

Life's not fair to me either, but can you answer this question?
