Can someone move from diploma to run a degree programme on transfer?

i will like to know this, i am a student in an asian university,and am from africa, and am into diploma in management , i want to know if it will be possible to transfer from the current university to another one without the completion of the diploma programme.where can one see universities that can accept that.europe is my ambition

  1. Yes it is possible but you would have to contact the university where you want to study and see how many of your credits they would accept. If they deem that your Asian university is not up to par with their university, you might have to start over from scratch. But many universities in Europe offer management courses in English and would be happy to have foreign students.


  2. I cannot tell you about Europe but in the US I think this would be tough.

    A little unsolicited advice:   In the US I used to live in one of the largest cities and there were small univerisities and colleges (our word "colleges"= universities without graduate schools-they offer legitimate degrees). These places would take foreign students with lower grades who otherwise could not get into school. The key point was money.  They costed more and offered no scholarships and they were not greatly respected. However, a student could go there, prove themselves, and then transfer to a better, cheaper university.

    My suggestion is that you write to schools and ask fellow students. You may want to post your question in the Indian section--there are alot of potential foreign students there.
