Can someone name a good engineering school in Illinois????

I am almost out of high school, and I want to become a mechanical engineer. I also want to learn about electronics.

I talked to a PHD from Urbana-Champaign. According to him, UI Urbana has one of the top civil schools in the nation. This doesn't necessarily mean their mechanical program is as good, but it would be worth looking into.

Edit: They have aerospace as well.

U of I in Urbana. I believe it is the top engineering school in Illinois.

Talk with your HS guidance councilor.  They will know the local universities the best.  

I grew up outside Chicago.  Most of my engineering bound HS friends went to the U of I.
