  1. Definitely. It's not totally about height. It's about hoe high you can jump and depending on what position you are, short people are sometimes better then tall people because they can get around the court faster.

  2. i'm the same age and height as you haha and yes i play volleyball at the net or in the back row

  3. ya. Your coach may not put you in front row, but maybe you could be the DS for the back row. They're usually pretty short.

  4. im 13 going into 8th grade and last year i was 4' 10'' and was captain i was the best spiker on the team and could play anywhere i was even setter

  5. Yeah. Short people can be good. You don't have to be tall to be a setter or passer, or even a hitter if you can jump. What matter's is your skills, not your height.

  6. Then thats fine right? Nothing to worry about. Thats great. Being small doesnt matter. If your doing well at it then WHO WORRIES? If thats the sport you love and your good. Dont give up chick x

  7. Yes

  8. yes! of course! train hard build up stamina and you definately can!

  9. yea you can! most the girls in my high school are...casue they cant play basketball...but the short ones are the best!

  10. I'm 15 playing front right position in volleyball and I'm 4'11'' so you can play it just takes a lot of practice I'm on my high school volleyball team and everyone but me is at least 5' 5'' in the shortest and the coach says I'm one of the best players

1st year playing to and are team is really good

  11. Of course a short person can play volleyball.  So long as they're on the shoulders of a taller player.

  12. yeah be a setter or a backrow player...height doesnt really matter if your REALLY good

  13. you can do anything if you put your mind to it :)

  14. Of course...For example look at the volleyball teams.A few people in the teams are long but more of them are short. You can be the best!:)

  15. well, foe me its a yes..

im a small person 2.and as i can see it's not affecting my play.:)

for me..when it comes to sports..we don't need the height.but we need the agility (most often).and our strength.

anyways, congrats bec. u won the best player award.keep it up!

    :P

  16. YUp. You can play even if you are sjort. Setter would be your position.

  17. yes u can be really really short and play the # 1 thing to know is how to bump #2 is make sure u can jump really high

  18. heck yea! my coach was way short and she played in college

  19. yes, definitly.

    i'm short, i play volleyball.

i'm a libero. defensive specialists and setters have no need to be tall.

  20. of course you can! im 5' 1" and i play good!!! you'll do fine!!!

  21. yeah i played while in high school and im now only 4'11... and i was rly good... do what ever u wanna do

  22. omg! i'm, 5'2 and i'm the libero on my competitive team, and we made the top 5 in my region, like out of 200 teams

so yes, my point is, short ppl can play vball

setters and liberos are typically the shortest on the team, but i've also seen 5 foot hitters, and they are awesome!

    congrats on your award btw

  23. There are many different positions.  While being 5'2" means you are probably not going to be a middle or a D-I setter, it doesn't meant that you can't be a good setter or Libero.  Enjoy playing the game.

  24. Ok, this is really dumb, you just answered your own question. If you won the best player award and you're that short, then obviously you can play volleyball.

Just never ever except to play middle blocker or anything lol.

  25. Yes you can play volleyball if you are really short. You will just be a back row player only.
