Can someone please Help me Xbox live Please?

I have looked so many places. Ive talked to so many people. Ive even called microsoft but they cant help me. They keep sending me a voice robot and everything he tells me doesn't work. I have an arris modem. I am connecting xbox directly into modem with cord. It says ip address failed. But then i put in manually and worked but my dns failed. then i put dns in manually and ip failed please help me. or please give me a number for someone i can actually talk to and not a robot. please thank you

ive had my fair share of problems with my 360, call xbox again and go through the steps with the retarded voice, eventually he'll be like, you wanna talk to an operative, and then you talk to a person and try and help

well man it mite not be compatible with your computer ever think about that one   :)ava06

well is your router plugged into your xbox or are you using a wireless network adaptor
