I am busy with a small assignment, and I am looking for some details about the relationship between Noah and the Giants according to Islam and the Quaran,.

I have been brought up Christian, but are currently not religious. I am doing this study as a part of a world religion comparrison]

I just have to write one paragraph on this, and there are many facts on the internet, but I dount they ring tru:

- God created the Big Flood in order to wipe out the giants. Can someone tell me if this is true and where the Giants came from (according to the Quran)

- Noah was also a decendand of Giants. Is this true and why wasn't he wiped out. Was he a "good" Giant. This sounds like a major myth.

- There was a giant so tall that he didnt drown during the flood. Is this maybe from Hindu religion.

Sorry about all the questions and my ignorance, but I am sure there will be a smartass that can help!

Maybe if someone can give me a quick rundown of the last giant on earth according to the Bible.I am currently reading up about OG and Enoch.

  1. Well I simply do not know how it relates to the Quaran but I do know that there are plenty of Noah arcs stories in various places.  The chinese tell a story of a great flood where a man in a boat had two of every kind.  The indians tell a story of a man in a boat during a great flood.  The chinese even have a story about a man in a great flood who survives on an ark.  Even the story of giglimesh(sorry about spelling)  tells a story about a great flood.

  2. The book of Enoch will help you. Google it.

  3. Now it came about that when men started to grow in numbers on the surface of the ground and daughters were born to them, 2 then the sons of the [true] God began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose. 3 After that Jehovah said: “My spirit shall not act toward man indefinitely in that he is also flesh. Accordingly his days shall amount to a hundred and twenty years.”

4 The Neph′i·lim proved to be in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of the [true] God continued to have relations with the daughters of men and they bore sons to them, they were the mighty ones who were of old, the men of fame.

5 Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time. 6 And Jehovah felt regrets that he had made men in the earth, and he felt hurt at his heart. 7 So Jehovah said: “I am going to wipe men whom I have created off the surface of the ground, from man to domestic animal, to moving animal and to flying creature of the heavens, because I do regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah.Genesis Chapter 6:1-8

The sons of God are the Angels

The Nephelim are the sons of the Angels who were giants compared to the normal people.

To what extent idolatry was practiced from the days of Enosh until the Flood, the Bible record does not reveal. The situation must have progressively deteriorated, because in Noah’s day “Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time.” Besides the inherited sinful inclination of man, the materialized angels, who had relations with the daughters of men, and the hybrid offspring of these unions, the Nephilim, exerted upon the world of that time a strong influence toward bad.

  5. I certainly can:  it never happened

    hope that helps

  6. Don't ask me about the flood, ask Utnapishtim.

  7. Noah doesn't feature in Hinduism at all.

Nor was he descended of Giants.

I'd suggest you read it all up again.

You've a long way to go.

    Peace.

    PS,

I thought that Adam was the only "Giant" in the Koran.

Maybe I need to read it again.

    PPS,

The evidence points out to the "Flood" being a localized event covering just the lands of present day Israel, which is how the Dead Sea was formed. by the way. You really need to read a lot more and study this well.

    PPPS,

I'm not the expert on Hinduism, but, if I remember correctly, Giants are very rare in that Religion.

There's one mentioned in the Ramayana; but, that's it. Don't recall hearing of any other there.
