1. 4r(2r²-6)-(5r³-12+10r)+8=

    8r^3-24r-5r^3+12-10r+8=

    3r^3-34r+20

^ left out the +8 at the end.

anyway, go by order of operations. Start by multiplying all the terms just outside the parantheses with the ones in the parantheses. (turn the minus sign into a negative 1 and then multiply it through the second set) After that, just add like terms and you'll end up with the correct answer.

  2. 4r(2r² - 6) - (5r³ - 12 + 10r) + 8

    = 8r³ - 24r - 5r³ + 12 - 10r + 8

    = 3r³ - 34r + 20

  3. 4r(2r²-6)-(5r³-12+10r)+8=

    8r^3-24r-5r^3+12-10r+8=

    3r^3-34r+20

  4. Just expand it and collect the terms

    4r(2r²-6)-(5r³-12+10r)+8 = 8r³ -24r -5r³+12-10r +8 = 3r³ -34r +20

I don't know what you are supposed to do with the reduced expression, but there it is
