Question:

Can someone please explain to me how England grades?

I've been looking at colleges in Britian, and many of the websites dont really have what grade requirements for international students, but sometimes some thing like "the equivelent to..." and then it will be like AAB or something, or such as this "...does not consider applicants offering two AS levels in lieu of a third A-level." it would be really helpful if someone could explain this to me in terms of the US grades (as in A+, A, A- and so on) or does this not even really have anything to do with grades?

either way, please help me!

  1. A-levels get graded in a similar way as in the US.... A  is the top grade you can get, then B  and C are the other two pass grades. Most universities dont accept under a C.

ABB simply means two B grades, and one A grade

A-s Levels are the exams u take before A level - "...does not consider applicants offering two AS levels in lieu of a third A-level." - this means that the University wants people with 3 A-level grades, and will not accept 2A-level and 2 As-levels..

confusing I know, but i hope this kinda makes things clearer
