Can someone please explain to me?

Question

how to open an online retail store. I already purchase wholesale and sell on e-bay, I would, however, like my own store. I would really appreciate if you could tell me how to get the store started (with shopping carts, payment methods, etc) without spending a whole lot.Thanks so much!

The easiest and cheapest way is through a site like Yahoo, that comes with design templates, shopping carts, and integrated payment processing.  I have used Yahoo's ecommerce engine in the past and was satisfied with it.

I don't know if you already know or not, but if you go to godaddy.com it's a great website builder that has great advertising, also you can go to yahoo after you have made your website and sign up your website through yahoo, and anybody that uses yahoo as a search engine and clicks on your website, you will get a check every month... Sounds crazy but it works! Good Luck

Find yourself a good website developer that can set you up a simple site for very little money-- or for barter-- and use PayPal for your "shopping cart". I have used it for years.  It is safe and affordable.

If you use an online template, your site will look like everyone else's. Dull and boring.

If you have a paypal business account you can set up on freewebs.com very easily and its all free. I wouldn't do the "add a store" option...just list what you have with a pic and then using the html codes add a add to cart button, then at bottom add a view cart button. You can set up the shipping fees and sales tax. If you don't have paypal you can get one for free.
