Can someone please give a good equation for terminal velocity that takes into account drag and air resistance? Thanks in advance.

  1. Mathematically, terminal velocity, without considering the buoyancy effects, is given by

    Vt = √[ (2mg)/(pACd) ]

    where

    Vt = terminal velocity,

    m = mass of the falling object,

    g = gravitational acceleration,

    Cd = drag coefficient,

    ρ = density of the fluid through which the object is falling, and

    A = projected area of the object

    Drag coefficient
