I don't want to be buying all these tv tuners and different cables and to find out that they don't work??

And also, i don't want to buy a new tv because it'll look out of place in my room.

Does it lag when you use the laptop? If yes, then i'll get the tv

Thanks in advance

  1. You'll need to buy a USB TV Tuner (preferably an HDTV Tuner) in order to use your Laptop's screen for your Wii.  Please note that you'll need the following Tech specs.

1 USB 2.0 port (USB 1.1 ports are incompatible)

2.2 Ghz processor (2.8 Ghz for digital recording)

    64 MB's of RAM

    64 MB's of Video RAM (?)

If your laptop does not have these requirements (with the possible exception of the Video RAM as the System Requirements), you won't be able to use one or it'll really bog down your system during use.  The USB TV Tuners will cost you around $100 + Tax & Shipping.

Once you have a TV Tuner, you just connect the Wii to the TV Tuner as it if was a real TV.

ALTERNATIVELY, You can pick up the Wii Portable Widescreen LCD screen that connects to the Wii directly & allows you to play your Wii on the road (assuming you have a cigarette lighter port in your vehicle).  See http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/vid... for information about it.  This will cost you around $121 (with basic shipping included).

    Hope that helps!

  2. Just put the sensor bar on top of the laptop and hope you click on the right things with the Wiimote because you can't see!

    Pretty much, no.
