Can someone please give me an alternative to a place to go other then a bar or club that would be cool?

I really don't like bars or clubs or any where really where alcohol is involved because I feel out of place. So can someone please give me a alternative place that would be cool -- Other then places like the Movies or such as that is what I always end up doing and I am looking for something different

I don't always drink when I go to the bar.  The bars I frequent are usually small and not very heavily populated.  My friends and I shoot pool, play darts, play video games, or sit around and talk about movies, comics, politics, pretty much anything.  I drink water or soda and every now and then, I have a beer or four! lol  I really never understood why people have difficulty going without drinking...that is unless you are a recovering alcoholic.  In that case, try a coffee house, friends house, or you can turn your place into a cool  hang out.  The point is to hang with friends, shoot the sh#t, and have a good time.  If you aren't recovering alcoholic, try smaller bars.

go to a gig somewhere. people are still likely to have a drink there but they'll mainly be there to listen to the music so they won't go overboard. you could also go to a comedy show. they usually have a comedy night at some pubs/clubs earlier in the evenings before people start really drinking and it's usually free too.

I have the same problem. I quit drinking a couple years ago. They need a bar thats alcohol free!! LOL. We need a place to hang out thats not occupied by teenagers that are 16 years old. You can't really talk at the movies or the library. I've never been to a cool coffee shop, im not sure if thats me. I dont drink coffee anymore. Most places like the Moose Lodge or other places like that are mostly older people too that play cards-- atleast where i live thats how it is. I live in a small town so I have to hang out at Walmart at midnight. Yeah. Or the grocery store. I rarely go to the bar anymore. ANYWAY, I give up. I'm just curious as to what everyone else has to say, and if they say something I haven't tried.

The mall, bookstore where u can read, coffee shops, sporting event, the park, ARE ANY OF THESE "cool"? LOL
