Soap opera ? Do japanese even have those .. okay what I watch is called Drama's there.

Hana Yori Dango is amazing you should watch it there are two seasons and a movie recently premiered in Japan

KAMISAMA MOU SUKOSHI DAKE: my all time favourite drama!! very touching!! and it's not cheesy.. (a high school girl who discovered her true love only after she contracted HIV)
