Can someone please give me information on the history of the Yellow River Valley Civilization?

I hope i've got the correct Yellow River.  An indigenous American people who built mounds that we have never understood.  THey cultivated corn but hunted for most other things.  Very poor by any modern standards.  Weaponry was primitive:  arrows, lances, slingshots.  No metalworking.  Religion would be worship the gods who created the world and the spirits that manifested themselves in "totums" like animals.
