  1. Tesco has egg noodles and chinese stir fry veg for about 99p a pack... this will feed you and your children easily.

Heat up some oil in a wock, and at a high heat, mix the noodles and veg together for about 3 minutes. Add some soy sause to flavour.

IF you would like ot add some chicken, just cut up a chicken breast, put in a frying pan with some oil and once it has cooked right through (this will only take about 5-10 minutes if choped into bite size bits), just add to your stir fry and your away!

Its one of my favourite easy cheap quick meals, and isnt strong or spicey, is colourful and i find most kids enjoy it!

    xx

  2. hot dogs

    minute steaks

    egg omelets

tunas and macaroni salad made night before.

  3. Invest in a crock pot if you do not have one.  I have one and love it because I can put food in it in the morning or even in the fridge the night before to let it marinade.  Then I put the pot on the base and let it slow cook and by the time I get home dinner is ready.

I cook all kinds of chicken such as legs, wings, thighs, breast, tenders, whole chickens, pot roast, soups, stews and more in mine.  Here are some links with recipes for crock pots:

Hope this helped.  If you do not have a crock pot you can get a good one at Ocean State Job Lot, WalMart or other stores for about twenty dollars.  They really do not cost much and are a good investment.

  4. I would suggest you get yourself a slowcooker, if you don't have one already. That way, all you have to do is stick whatever you want in the crockpot in the morning (it's worth getting up a few extra minutes early for), set it to low, and you will come home to a nice hot home cooked meal! You could stick in a whole chicken, some potatoes, and a veg, soup ingredients, a roast, etc.

  5. Try a crock pot - you can get tons of recipes online or buy a crock pot cook book. You come home to a real meal that is all ready to go.

A slow cooker is the same as a crock pot. You can make roasts, I put my sauce and meatballs in it, you can make chicken, all kinds of good stuff!!

  6. make ramen noodles and put some veggies in there chopped up nice and neat-- kids looooveee noodles but actually when i was little i loved veggies too- it just depends. your kids... if they're like nine and below, try giving them something other than hot dogs or hamburgers!!! most people think that's a quick and simple thing to fix but actually it's the highest and fattiest foods you can eat or give to anyone. try fixing them some babyfood if they're below one or two, you could give four to eight year olds microwaveable dinners, and if you have a really athletic family, try making some spaghetti or pizza that you put into the oven and wait for ten minutes. That was my favorite dinner when i was nine!!! :-) also if they're like teenagers have them fix a couple meals for the family, if nessecary. good luck!!!:-)

  7. Well, here's one for starters, you can go out and get this new recipe book called fast meals in thirty minutes or less. Or, you can try buying instant foods in cans or microwavable packages. Those are quick and easy foods and they can taste delicious. Good luck in balancing life!

  8. Get a slow cooker! I love mine. Although you're meant to brown stuff off in a pan first I just lob it all in, stick on low and leave it for about 10 hours.

Failing that, I like to make tuna in tomato sauce which basically involves a small tin of tuna, chopped tinned tomatoes, garlic puree, some italian mixed herbs, salt and pepper and pasta (I use fusilli). Heat the tomatoes in a pan, add the herbs, garlic etc and then the tuna. When hot, add cooked pasta and serve.

Pasta serving is approx 75g a person, a 400g tin of tomatoes should do and a small tin of tuna. Everything else to taste.

  9. I love love love BLT's...( I cook the bacon in the oven, it's a whole lot easier than frying it in a pan!)

Just check chicken well cooked.
