  1. If your parents are healthy they probably aren't going anywhere, but if they do its all part of nature, unfortunately. Usually when people have fears they talk to psychiatrist/therapist. You cant stop people from dying but you can enjoy them while you have them.

  2. We all have fears like that.  In this world, that is a pretty insecure place, there is no end to the things you can worry about.  The Russians or the Chinese may bomb us out of existence.  The earth might get hit by a meteor or an asteroid.  The economy may go into a deep depression, plunging the country into chaos.  Need I go on?

We have to live with uncertainty.  There is no other choice.  Usually we seek to fight this fear (or these fears) with probabilities.  Sure your parents will die one day, but they are healthy, so the Probably will not die soon.  I have grandchildren, and I worry about their mother who has a 60 mile one-way commute to work several times a week over a mountain.

If you are Christian, pray and have faith.  If you aren't Christian, hope is about all you've got.
